Assignment: Rube Goldberg Machine
Rube Goldberg was a prize-winning cartoonist famous for his drawings of fun machines that perform simple tasks in the most complicated way imaginable. Rube Goldberg machines usually employ a lot of different energy transfers and transformations to get the job done.
Task: Design a machine that uses at least 5 transformations and/or transfers to perform a simple task.
Identify: Each different energy transfer and/or transformation that occurs when you run your machine.
Product: Create either a detailed diagram of a machine or construct the actual machine and take pictures and/or video of your machine. Make sure you identify the transfers and transformations on the diagram, in the pictures or in the video.
